A CAMPFIRE STORY
Told from the perspective of a Canadian camp counselor, A Campfire Story is a story within a story. A WARNING TO THOSE THINKING ABOUT ACCESSING THE SHADOW WEB
Warning: This story is NSFW: A Warning to Those Thinking About Accessing the Shadow Web is essentially a story of how a man stumbled onto the darker side of not just the internet, but human nature. What’s great about this story is that there is absolutely nothing supernatural about it and everything is entirely possible. That is what makes it so damned scary and disturbing.
Psychosis is about an introverted man who after burying himself in work, realizes that he hasn’t had any human contact in days. As time goes on and he fails to contact anyone face-to-face he slowly starts to lose trust in everyone and everything, slipping into paranoid delusions.
Room 733 is about a college freshman who’s new dorm room is next to the infamous room 733, where multiple suicides have previously taken place. Luckily, that room has been closed off for years. Room 733 is a fantastic read that keeps the reader guessing and has a pretty great ending.
The Goatman was the first story I read online that got me interested in all of these spooky stories. The writing is also rife with grammar and spelling mistakes – but that just enhances the story as it allows the reader to make a more direct connection to the story teller.
