The theory that fixes Independence Day: ResurgenceJune 28, 2016
I’m a huge fan of the original Independence Day (1996), so needless to say, I was super excited when Independence Day: Resurgence (2016) was first announced. Even though Will Smith would not be in the film (Goldblum is more than enough to keep me happy) I had high hopes for this film. However, after seeing it opening day, I was devastated. That may be a little hyperbolic, but Independence Day: Resurgence just felt like one of those hilariously bad Syfy original monster/space movies, but with an absurd budget.
At the bar after seeing the movie, I got to talking about the film with my buddy and all of its flaws, and that’s when he came up with the brutally simple theory that patched so many of the numerous nonsensical plot holes. Thanks Kyle!

The Best Disney Movies of All TimeJune 4, 2016
It may surprise you to know that I enjoy movies, and, as a human, I especially love Disney movies. Nostalgia aside, Disney has made some incredible classics in their time. Having recently watched Zootopia (2016), I got to thinking about my childhood favourites – movies that I would figuratively force any future child of mine to watch.
The following list only contains movies I myself have seen, so I’m sure I’ve missed plenty. If you feel that I’ve left one of your favourite Disney movies off, let me know in the comments! I’m always looking for new Disney movies!
How To Beat The Demon in It FollowsMarch 24, 2016
It has been a long time since I’ve seen the unconventional horror film It Follows (2014), but I still find myself reflecting and thinking about how I would survive the entity/demon/ghost/std.
The following are some of my thoughts on what I would do to survive the horror of it.
The Force Awakens – A Rey Fan TheoryJanuary 29, 2016
One of the best parts about watching Star Wars: The Force Awakens are the many questions left unanswered. How did The First Order come into power after the fall of The Empire? Who exactly was the old guy at the start of the film – the one that Poe retrieves the map fragment from? Who is the main character Rey, and who is her family?
Let’s just rip the band-aid off right now; Rey is a Kenobi.

The Shannara Chronicles I have talked about MTV’s The Shannara Chronicles before, and why you should be excited, but here’s a recap. The Shannara Chronicles is a fantasy series based on author Terry Brooks’ work and contains a fantastic cast. MTV has also refused to pull any punches as the visuals and CGI look amazing. As a huge […]

This concept may sound meta and rare, but it’s surprising how many of our popular series contain their own little in-universe programmes.

Why I Didn’t Like Jurassic WorldJuly 28, 2015
Currently, Jurassic World is sitting on $1,545,405,234 worldwide – so it’s doing something right – but I hated it. Most people I’ve talked to seemed to have enjoyed the film even with what I perceive to be glaring issues, and that’s OK. But as a huge fan of the original, I was definitely left wanting.
Note: There will be spoilers in this article.
The Shannara Chronicles: Background InformationJuly 23, 2015
